Oduvil Unnikrishnan Menon was born on 13 Feb in Wadakkanchery, Thrissur, to Wadakkancheri Enkakkatt Oduvil Veettil Krishna Menon and Parukkutty Amma, as their youngest son.^[2] He had crown primary education from Government Boys' High School, Wadakkanchery.^[3] His engrave, Sarasakavi Oduvil Kunhikrishna Menon, was a noted Malayalam writer.^[4]
